Cut plug rig

Here you there mama, backrod, 4oz. 9pulls.... Slayer is right, you gotta get up for some chrome here shortly.
Hey Slayer get a hold of me over the next few.. More skywater a'comin!!dirty

For the last 20 years I have used a 2 hook rig. One up front(however and wherever you prefer, depending on whole or plug cut), then the trailing hook dangling and tied to trail the tail by an inch or two. NOT hooked into the bait. I use a 6/0 up front and a 7/0 trailing. These fish don't nibble. They gulp and gobble. The smallest bite they can take is still big enough to get the whole damn thing in their mouth, all at once. But, they are natorious tail biters so the trailer really gets them. 90% will be on the trailer. The front hook just holds the bait on. They aren't leader shy either, so use 40# leaders. Try it. . . you'll like it!!
