Commander 26 Re Build

I wonder where they're at in terms of transom reinforcement and glass work? Since you have Ron tied up in the basement like the gimp from Pulp Fiction, the rest of us gotta find a way forward...
The glass is on me…if the boat falls apart. I’m going to leave full access to the transom so they can mount her as they please LoL.

Some more pics of todays progress.
Cut the stringer to size ( cut 5/8 length wise )
Fitted in nicely with approximately 1/2 gap before any glassing was done. Added one layer of mat and another layer of roving under the stringer. Wow, the hull doesn’t flex at all now when I step on it without that one stringer. Started wrapping the stringer with 2 mats. I’m hoping the glass will add up to 1/4 inch leaving us with approximately 1/4 polybond ,looking like it will be very close.65B4344C-1BA9-4081-83A0-8F71C8132758.jpegE1AFA452-A024-40B1-8379-4E163099E7D1.jpegFC4A3F79-9EF8-4449-A426-10FBFA12067D.jpeg8A1D5EAC-562C-4B75-8E93-B878F9502707.jpeg

Very nice looking work for sure, your lucky to have Ron.I'm glassing today too rebuilding the tank hatch in the Pursuit that had saturated balsa core.I've done quite a bit over the years, still hate it.

We have a 1995 30' Cluaran. I organized the Rendezvous get togethers for 10 years.
Looking forward to meeting you!
There is an Owners Directory. Ask for a copy.
Thank you
Can’t wait to be a part of it, and see all these commanders in one place!

The first one is in. Layered polybond on the stringer and the hull, set into place nicely, all is even with 3/16 left to the floor. I wanted to say one down four to go but still need to glass it.A0A8A2BF-9EEC-47E7-8D04-3B43228EF338.jpeg199E8498-5730-4DA5-B957-2128E29A2346.jpeg13FA7EEA-A841-4212-A446-1D7197E60BCB.jpegA4870471-FA6B-4477-8732-FD9BF1F5DF73.jpeg5FEB0ABD-C4DC-406D-9CF8-1D6954C0383B.jpegCB7A001B-0009-4F22-B0D7-AD24932CC6DA.jpegAA07ABD7-7D84-4458-BC93-4008DE51A253.jpeg76C16573-1081-46BE-A827-1C2995741DC7.jpegF723BAF0-C7BB-4C76-849C-B426C872358F.jpegFADC92BC-CCFD-4841-850F-C1DBC84D5A9F.jpeg

One more thing I forgot to mention, the stringer will still be cut down after the bulkhead allowing for a lower floor under the deck and for a nice bond between the stringer and the bulkhead. At the transom the stringer will slope down 6” to transition to floor level.

Like this ? We are using bags to squeeze out cabosil with resin to round the edge before glassing.
The polybond however is too thick, mixes thicker than corebond is almost impossible to squeeze outF1CA0404-8729-4BD0-ADFD-40B5101229DD.jpeg8AF1754A-B26D-4AC9-B4A1-2C74598DB3B5.jpeg3D33FE49-D0EB-4808-ACBD-3EF0B8DDC127.jpeg
