Commander 26 Re Build

Gotta keep plugging away at her everyday…
2nd stringer fitted in perfectly, wrapped twice with 1 1/2 mat. Also put down 1 mat 1 roving on the hull. This side had a couple spots of delam deep, had to grind them out and put down 4x mat, 1 roving, 1 mat , 1 roving in those heavy grind areas ( the darker spots on the pics ) . After sandblasting the bottom paint, I will check the outside of the hull for any sign of a previous repair or damage in those areas, here’s a few picsD27772DB-C3BF-436E-8C11-FB52678D415D.jpeg06C93568-7BD4-48DB-8D57-CFFC8A551B11.jpeg62F1523B-AC3B-441F-B5C6-F37A27854B19.jpeg4FFAC051-7373-47CD-8A3B-DE8A827BBB49.jpegA6793F0D-DA5D-4425-BB79-CABF2FE62BD9.jpeg

Today was surgery, I couldn’t leave that screw in the hull, it bugged me all night. I’m hoping it’s symbolic, like maybe this boat isn’t screwed anymore? Cleaned up the tip of the stringer and added a bit more mat. Set the stringer into place on a layer of polybond. Lots of thinking lately about the rest of the boat now that I almost have a hull. The floor will go on soon and I need to prepare the helm at least by the end of May. To do the helm I need to choose a direction for the interior, I have all the original pieces and would be able to reuse with some modifications but a new teak veneer would look great. Also Prices are crazy now a days for everything 0CE503C4-7230-41D9-8752-6E20E6BB86D8.jpeg35A9342A-D81C-4DDE-9EE2-6532A6B43297.jpeg5DFDE536-C8C6-4931-B33B-F9F596541CE9.jpegE4A46EB0-8CBD-426B-A975-549DE87C9035.jpeg698E0757-5F54-42D7-B336-04A82B1DCA8A.jpegCDF48BF4-BE94-4A50-BB16-DBADAA4A7965.jpegAE62F94C-2551-4F5E-A2A3-613E3245456C.jpeg704FF30B-AB1A-4393-B139-512DFB12DFEC.jpeg6FCA82B0-31B4-4611-A0BA-D4F1787E5669.jpeg
