Browns Bay Chum Derby!!!!!!! 4th Year For SFBC

It was another well ran Derby by the staff at Browns Bay. It was great to see everyone again..Paul (Blue Orca) Baddog and Crew and others. Osama B. Hopper and your lovely wife..thanks again for hosting a great feed of scallops/prawns...always sooo Yummy.

We started Sunday am out with a triple header around 9am..and then nothing till after 11am..WHAM Two rods went off..then another, and then when the last rod went off (mr big and ugly) ..Thanks Don and Brad for getting the 2nd place fish in the boat among the chaos, rods and gear!

Hopefully next year DFO won't be seining and gillnetting the week of the derby so we all can have more double/triple and quad. headers like last year.

When will DFO clue in? They knew full well that there was a Derby scheduled for this weekend and yet they couldn't have waited till monday to extend the gillnetters? There would have been plenty of fish for them to catch. If not for the sake of better fishing for us, it should be for the sake of safety.
