Best trolling rod blank

Hi All,

My father in law (actually grandfather in law) is running out of fly rod projects, and might be willing to build me a trolling rod. What are your favorite blanks for trolling rods? Brand, specs and what you like about them would be appreciated. My daily rods are the cork handled 10'6" Titan XL Power 2 Single action, and i quite like them.

Sage 4110 for bigger summer chinooks.

Sage 3106 for winter springs and coho.

The sage models listed above, you can’t go wrong with! It’s would be hard to pick 1 but the sage 3106 would get my vote.

Great rod as well if I’m going power 4 sage custom built I’ll take the extra foot all day

I know it's not a Sage but I personally like the Lamiglass blanks similar to the what Rich Mate use to build with. I have had two for over twenty years not, little rough looking but still catches fish.

SAGE 4110. have a pair of them for the last 8 yrs . Best rod hands down.

My personal preference for a rigger rod is a 3106 sage. 4110 is for really big fish....like 40+ or guiding. The 3106 has a fast taper and really lends itself to the rigger.
