WTB TILT MOTOR COVER T 9.9

I am in search for the outer cover of the tilt motor on a o6 t 9.9,mine is just about rotted thru

Try Cabelas in the US, hard to find them in Canada for some reason.

I had one that was looking like it was ready to develop a hole or two at anytime. I showed it to one of the mechanic friends of mine and he told me to sand blast it. I did and it cleaned up well and the big flakes of rusty metal that came off weren't as deep as it looked. I primed it with an etching primer and bought the correct colour spray bomb paint from SG and painted it, then finished it with a few coats of clear coat. I will remove it each year and touch it up as required to prolong its life. I would try the same first...at least sand blast it to see how bad or good it is first.
