Looking to buy a used 175 hp, or bigger, outboard.

Looking for someone who is repowering or helpful hints to get what i need (without the long, drawn out sad story, believe me, there is one).

Well looked after - maintenance/ winterized.
Has good life left - low ish hours.
Controls for/at helm.
Very resonable price.

I don’t recommend buying a brand of motor that there isn’t a good dealer of that brand near you.

I have an 25" shaft Optimax 225 with under 700 hours. I'm considering a repower. It's been reliable the 3 seasons I've run it. Originally from Michigan so mostly freshwater use.
