whales????

so how does everyone find whales going through effect their fishing, i have mixed results, i have notice a short intense bite just before they show up and then nothing after, and i dont mean just this wk, i am talking since i have been fishing, any input would be great, not sure if this topic has been covered before, i am sorta new on here

I believe whales certainly do temporarily hurt the fishing. Today in Sooke we had fished for about an hour....and had nothing before the whales came through. About an hour after the Whales came through we were into some nice fish. A few times in the past I have caught fish with the whales around....those seem to be the exception. When the fishing is slow....it's easy to blame the whales.

Depends on what type of whales for one.... but in general i don't think it makes a huge dif... found at time there is a frenzy of bites just as the whales show up so it can be good or bad
