We are preparing for the biggest season ever @ Rodgers Fishing Lodge May through Oct 2012. Our 10 lodge boats and guides are almost booked solid. We have already confirmed two independent guides hired for the season as we have the clients to keep them busy as well. The way bookings are coming in we are going to need at least 1 or 2 more to fill the demand.

Great daily pay rate plus we supply fuel, meals and bait. Plus guide accommodations if required!

We are looking for qualified West Coast Guides with references who operate DOT Certified Boats. We want guides that are not only good fishermen but also good with guests and true team players. No Pre Madonna's or Winers need apply

Here's a little history on the Rodgers Family....

For 100 years the Rodgers family has been sportfishing in British Columbia.
It began in 1912 when Doug's Grandfather, (Joseph) first towed a string of six rowboats from Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver out to Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, where he began Rodgers Boat rentals. Joseph had bought 2000 feet of prime waterfront which eventually housed a hotel and a large dance hall. They built all of their own row boats and had the first put - puts on the BC coast.

During the 30's and 40's, Doug's Dad, Howard, rented and chartered boats to sports fisherman looking to land the big one! As well, Howard ran the first water taxi service with his famous boat the Commadore. He serviced places like Britannia Mines, Woodfibre, Port Mellon and Squamish.

Twenty five years ago, Doug started his own charter business in Campbell River. What began as Shoreline Charters with one Boston Whaler and one guide (Doug) grew into Anchor Inn Charters with 17 boats and guides.

In 1993, Rodgers fishing expanded. They began a camp at Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island's West Coast. The next season the camp was moved to Zeballos Inlet, accessing the more remote, and productive, Esperanza area. For the past 12 years Rodgers Fishing Lodge has been located in Port Eliza Inlet. From Port Eliza, Rodgers is the closest Lodge to one of the most consistent sportfishing areas in British Columbia.

"prima donna" is Italian for "first lady." The term was used to designate the leading female singer in the opera company, the person to whom the prime roles would be given. The corresponding term for the male lead (almost always a tenor) is "primo uomo."[SUP][- Wikipedia)[/SUP]
