Friday night I set a crab trap at the bell buoy. Yesterday morning I retrieved it and reset it in the same area. I come back around 5:30pm and it’s missing. I looked for it for about 30 mins then decided that it was gone. Someone must have taken it or it drifted. The week before I set a trap at T10 all day and when I pulled it up one of the lines had been cut and the trap was empty. So I’m thinking that the trap is gone now.
I received a phone call for a nice guy letting me know that he my float for my prawn trap was was just below the waterline. Scratching my head I asked are you near the bell buoy? He said said he was near Passage Island.
Unfortunately I am unable to get out to track down my trap so if any of you nice fisher people see my trap floating around. I would be most great full if you might pick it up for me.
