When in the fall/winter do these rivers normally start up for coho and springs?

Also, correct my spelling on 'Chehalous'... not sure on that one LOL

The vedder starts up in about 2 weeks and gets real strong throughout October, The Chehalis tends to be a bit later and really is strong in the latter part of October and first week of November. Not a lot of Springs in the Chehalis, its mostly a coho/chum fishery. The Vedder...... well hell that is mostly a combat fishery :D

End of Sept. is best on the Vedder but any push of rain will advance the run
After the Vedder is spent I usually hit the Chehalis

Cant wait, most reports offshore tell of a bunker crop of hoes, a tell tail of rod bending Cohos in the tributaries
Hope it will be an Indian summer so the fly rod will be well used!!!!!

When I lived over there I always went to the Vedder and fished on my birthday. Sept.30th for a big fat white spring for the smoker I often caught a late red spring. The coho normally showed up a couple weeks later yet they were there in smaller numbers at the end of Sept.

My dream fishery has become a reality. low water & stacked conditions !!!!
Hoez-aplenty............the 8weight put to the test
One hint, stay clear of heavily gear chucked walk in access. those double bombarded sided pools are best left for the gong shot Videos
