Trout trolling

Im going to try trout trolling for the first time this weekend with my new boat, and tips/suggestions? I was going to try a wilow leaf troll with a flatfish, wedding band, or rooster tale. How long should the leader be? Any other suggestions on colours/what to use? thanks!

what lake are you planning on fishin?.........usually a flatfish k7....with a 18inch leader and worm should do the trick,,,,,,,behind a willowleaf
