trout fishing

I didn't eat it I gave it to my girlfriends Grandma who loved it. The meat was bright red, and given the fact that the stocked trout are sterile, they don't spawn, so there's no difference between chrome or colored in my view. Unlike snagging boot springs from the Nitinat.

after the full moon cutty fishing is picking up. the fish are larger and easier to catch.that is nice rainbow...very different looking .today im headed back to fish over a nice stretch of water where i lost a nice fish last week. im going to focus on big minnow patterns today .good luck to all fishers on this day, march 28th...

yesterday was good we had a few new fish for people.
1)bob caught his first fish and biggest rainbow on the fly.

2) the boys from the city that came up got this nice buck , and another to brake both boat records.

3)then on the way home down the lake we ran out of gas and i forgot the ores so i used the net to row to shore...............

today on my return to get the boat with some gas i took my buddy and my little guy and we hit some nice fish .my little guy caught his biggest cutty yet.................

very nice cutties.They are quite dark.Are they hitting spawn season there as the cutts here on saltspring island lakes are silver.some have dark spotting but not dark or red bellies.Just some of the bows are in colour.Do you troll with a motor or fly fish?

Awesome cutties!! Are you guys mostly finding them down deep right now, or are they starting to spawn?

these fish may be colored but dont be fooled . the can cocler up like this for the spawn but that can take as little as a few days and they are on the mend. and very aggressive.i can locate these fish in 15- 5 feet of water.and some times site fish for up to 20-30 of them at a time. very amazing !they love leaches and sticklebacks .

nice cutts iron.what area you fishin?I'm on saltspring and the cutts aren't that big.Not enough people releasing the big ones.I personally release what I catch,but too many people kill the big ones on st. marry lake.

went out today...reeled in a 15 half" bow in hot afternoon. very calm and relaxing. otherwise fishing was slow due to very warm weather.
