That's a way easier knot to tie than the Double Uni I've used in the past for this.Thanks for that Strrykerr!

Well,that's all I needed to see. Gonna retire the double uni and go with the modified albright.Alot easier to tie as well.

I've been using the modified albright for years. Great knot and I've never had one fail.

Good info indeed. I like to put a dab of zap-a gap (crazy glue) at the back of the knot on these connections. extra insurance. Then a light slather of loons uv knot sense. My question would be how long are these knots good for until they should be re-tied?

I use that knot with a small modification for my hali reels Diawa 600h, with 1000ft of 65 lb mono topped with 1000ft of 100lb powerpro

i find by tieing the knot on a bite i get a stronger knot (take a bite of powerpro, in the mono loop, wrap up and down, then back in the mono loop)
