Strategy for the Northern and Southern Resident Killer Whales

Here is what google came up with

How much does a Biological scientist make in Canada? The average biological scientist salary in Canada is $92,500 per year or $47.44 per hour. Entry-level positions start at $65,000 per year, while most experienced workers make up to $141,000 per year.

Get a handful of grad students. Maybe get a couple to work on a thesis paper or something like that. This shouldn't need to be a big budget operation. You just need some alternative facts!

Maybe you could organize it! o_O

No, there are enough groups around as noted. The SFI could do this . They have the most to loose.

I think you have something to lose as your really trying hard to derail this thread. Not really sure what your trying to do here it's getting bizarre.

It seems like a big a joke to you for some reason.

Actually, you came up with the greens hiring scientists, I said fight fire with fire.
That has nothing to do with derailing but something to do with trying to move the fight to a level field.

What have u done lately.. hows the weather back east bye the way :(
Interesting, been busy, sun shining all is good.

option 3 for Vancouver would pretty much be the final nail and also pretty much end any chances of harvesting sockeye. It goes out to 200 meters deep

Preliminary impact studies have found this project, Terminal 2 (T2), will have “significant adverse and cumulative effects on Southern Resident killer whales.”
Urge Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault not to approve the T2 Project. Send your letter today.

Good post, This and the trans mountain expansion are the true drivers behind closures and restrictions not environmental group influence. We lose out so industry can wreck the place everywhere else. Its happening at both levels of government come down hard on users of resources that have little impact while ignoring industrial and resource impacts on the same protected species and area. Close the gold to fishing while continuing to log the watershed to death, stop fishing and boating in an area when tankers will increase six fold going right beside it. We all have to sacrifice so that the destructive industries that caused the problems can keep on making profit for their foreign investors.

You had better get your input in as this is open to the public. You do understand that there will be a lot of input from the other party’s.
DFO saying they are entertaining input and suggestions from all parties is smoke and mirrors. They have already made their decision and closed door meetings with other interest groups without our group knowing or being invited has already occurred. If the process was a fair and equitable process, we would never be in the position we are in today.

If everyone who owns a boat loves fishing demonstrated and make a ruckus at gov and dfo offices, it would send a message. Past rallies had a handful of people show up which does not have the impact needed to get anyone's attention.
