We'll be up In Seymour as well. Looking forward to it.Should be a good trip, some nice big coho up on the mainland side right now. All the above gear should work well. Not sure where you are headed but Seymour should have some nice fish in it. You will see them jumping in front of a few of the smaller rivers, I tie up to a kelp patch or anchor the boat and start chucking gear.
Dragging some buck tails on the surface works well too. I like red/white/blue, work well.
Good luck!
Where do you get those-never heard of them??We had great luck catching Coho this season on both LiveTarget Blueback Herring swimbaits and on LiveTarget gold shiners (dive to 15'). Very realistic action...
Thanks-not at all what I expected!!The Tackle Shack at Pacific Playgrounds has the LiveTarget swimbaits and the diver I got from The Fishin Hole. I used the swimbaits for Chinook last year and hooked a couple of beauties. Here is a link to the LiveTarget website and the herring. Check out the videos as well. I fishing it above a dummy flasher for Chinook. They are a little pricey but you can see why when you see the detail on them. For Coho this year I caught them trolling in the prop wash on both lures and casting when I saw bait busting on the surface.
