Small Boat...Hali in Nootka???

Hello All

I have a 16 foot Double eagel and wanna try catchin some hali's the next time in Nootka. Any suggestions since going offshore isn't really an option.

I would go out to the lighthouse early morning and try out there ,if the seas look good you can slide over close to maquinna .
If it,s overcast good chance you can stay out awhile longer if it,s sunny pack up around noon or 1:00 and get back inside before the wind comes up. you,ll know as soon as you get out there whether or not your boat and you can handle it
