Anyone see these at the boat show? What did you think of them? I have not been able to see them in person but they look like they may do it. I like that they would save allot of space from what I have now. I hear they will not bottom out and are self adjusting. Im looking for some input from someone who may have sat on one.

I looked into them big time. Not many places carry them anymore. Lots of companies stopped sales on them. They are entry level sepension seating

Yes they were at Boat Show at the Silver Streak booth. Silver Streak also makes their own called a Back Saver and Daigle Boat makes one called Wave Ryder. None of them get great reviews.

Here are some positive reviews on seaspension seats:

http://www.thehulltruth.com/archive/t-474447.html Seaspension® has been specified in all 18'- 40' boats requiring pedestals purchased by the Canadian federal government. This includes Navy, Coast Guard and even wildlife and environmental law enforcement agencies.
That is a very good testament to their product!

Problem is most of us will bottom them out especially me on those days we need them. The other thing is they are straight up and down. When on plain and pounding waves we are not actually level. Bolted to the ground as shown in the store or in this case the Boat Show they feel good and to scenses you may think they will work out well. But put a shim under the platform and test again you'll see what I mean.

I actully talked to the guy selling them on the HullTruth for $495. He talked me out of them.

I thought shockwave seats were being put in to all the government boats.

Buy them, I won't be. Price is good if they actully worked better Id reconsider.

You look at Shock Wave and Smooth Move seats? See how they are built on an angle? Know why?

Seaspension, Back Saver and Wave Ryder's are entry level peds. If that's what your in the market for buy them

Well at 3.5 inches of travel that is "entry level IMHO. The question is do they do the job? Its painful to find a good video of these things in action.

Well I am about 260lbs and I tried Sculpin's Bostroms out in some pretty decent swells.... They didn't bottom out.... If I were getting seats I would be looking at those myself....

Shock Wave is definitely the best out there and they are developing a system tailored to the recreational market. Up until now there seats were designed and sold mostly to militaries and coast guards around the world.
