Salmon behind prop wash ???

I enjoy a surface rod too, and there were some big cohos in Barkley last year. but I remember clearly when Ukee guide, Dan (RIP), asked some clients about the light rods they were about to pack onto his boat one morning.
When they said they thought they might have time to do some bucktailing, he said something to the effect of, "Take that **** back to your car; coho is a 4 letter word on my boat. We're looking for slabs and halibut!"
I suggest clients ask the guide ahead of time.

There was a croc in that scene? Didn't even notice, must've been focusing on something else.

When we used to rake the small herring we always set one back in the prop wash with a 1/4 oz banana weight. Coho would just materialize back there just like a shark1 One second you could see the herring rotating and flashing and then Fish On!

I'm going to try trolling the prop wash with a Tomic Tubby this summer. I imagine the turbulence will give the plug a little extra action.
