Before I buy one of these things, anyone have a particular recommendation for my high thrust 9.9 Yamaha?

adventure marine? Mac’s? Other?

FYI - I have a model 4 Mac’s I need to part ways with...wrong size!

cheers

not sure why it posted twice, I make these, have 1 left stainless steel for 9.9 highthrust looking for $150

I went with the Adventure Marine, nice quality.

had to order it with short arms though for the 9.9.

Buy a Halo, less hydro-dynamic drag. Much more compact than previous designs. Les stress on motor when the kicker drags while spooling up your main power. I just bought one at Sherway in Victoria.

halos are ok but are very susceptible to debris getting between prop/guard which is the biggest down fault of any guard

Ive both types. I’m liking the Halo more. I guess it depends on the application. I’m sure each has it’s benefits and disadvantage

do you have a picture handy?

I just replaced my old version of the halo with their new stainless. Boatland in CR have them. Great prop guard. Here are pics of the old one.
