Please help me identify these fish.

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me identify these juvenile fish. The fish were all caught in the Fraser River. The last two pictures are of the same fish.

Thanks,

The first two are coho parr, the middle a chinook (although I'll need another photo to bet the farm!) and the last two Rocky Mountain Whitefish.

Well I flushed them down the toilet but I am sure they will be fine. The metro sewer system is a sufficient rearing habitat and they can head straight out into the bountiful water of False Creek to start their saltwater lifecycle.

Thanks for the help Dave. I was having a lot of trouble telling the difference between the coho and the chinook. I think you are right about fish number 1 and 3 but could 2 be a sockeye.....?
If anyone else can help please do.

Im going to post another picture. Lets call it fish 5.

Fish # 5 could be a sockeye all right, especially if it was captured below the mouth of the Harrison. Too bad you don't still have it as you could have put all suspicion to rest by counting the gill rakers.
