Pickled / Smoked Salmon

My old man used to have this killer pickled smoked salmon recipe. Unfortunately, he took it with him to the grave. His smoked salmon recipe was killer alone. Then he pickled it in jars, i guess? This is the step I'm unsure of. Any help in my reviving this would be much appreciated !

I would suggest the book, Smoking Salmon and Trout by Jack Whelan. He has a pickled smoke salmon recipe in there. The bible of all things salmon including smoking and pickling salmon in my humble opinion. eman

I have that book and it is a very good book. There is pickled salmon recipes and recipes for pickling salmon if that makes sense.
