Not much going on there right now, but in the summer months there's often pretty good fishing along what's locally referred to as the Pender Bluffs. These are along the west side of North Pender, southwest of Thieve's Bay (turn left out of the bay and start fishing).
We mostly fish from Oaks Bluff, about 2nm from Thieve's Bay, to Wallace Point. In the summer, be prepared to rock and roll while you're fishing...Swanson Channel is the marine equivalent of a freeway running between Bedwell Harbour (customs) and the rest of the Gulf Islands. Some big boats run through there all day long.
