Have an Inview N911 pda( with gps ) with all of NA road maps and streets but looking for software for use in BC westcoast waters. Anyone using a similar unit and who might have some info, would appreciate any help I can get.
Tks!

Hello,

I have a Dell Axim with a bluetooth Garmin GPS10. I have all of the Coastal BC Charts and am using OziExplorerCE. It is pretty cheap software under 40 CDN.

I use Oziexplorer CE on a Dell Axim as well. Easy program to use. I use the digital version of the backroad mapbook with it.

Are you using your pda`s along with your gps unit. The reason I ask is because most of what I have read at the oziexplorer site seems to indicate that this software is not really designed for use with a pda with built in gps . Sent an e-mail off to them asking if their software would work with this pda and they said they thought it should but were unfamiliar with the unit I have.
Also, where did you get the digital maps for the west coast?

My unit has a GPS cartridge that fits into my Compact Flash slot. Works fine with that.

I have a Dell Axim and a Holux CF gps receiver. I use MapCruiser PE from NavSim out of NFLD. I use the same charts that I have for Nobeltec on my PC. The system works fairly well but can be hard to see in my application - prawning and fishing in my zodiac. I had a problem with the CF receiver but after contacting Holux in Taiwan, it was probably the easiest and quickest CS dealing I have ever had with a manufacturer with full warranty coverage and free express (2 day) return shipping.
