Ouch... Nanaimo Crash

OUCH!! What a crappy way to begin and end a long weekend.
First thing that I wonder is were they travelling together? Often see one guy towing the boat and another hauling the bunk house, heading off to enjoy our great outdoors.
Hopefully only pride and pocketbooks were hurt, and that everyone came out of this uninjured.

People tend to believe that because they can get whatever they tow up to speed that is all they need to worry about. They have no clue what it takes to stop that load.

X2 Gunsmith........This picture should get posted each time there is a thread about pulling their 30' boat with the wife's minivan just because the manual says its rated for it? And want to know what everyone thinks? lol Towing something is rarely the issue and if it is then it should be a quick clue that you can't safely stop it. Hopefully nobody got hurt and a lesson learned perhaps.......

in defence of this guys driving it was extremely slippery as Seafever noted, but also them older style fifth wheels weigh a ton. As a class one driver I can tell you most people do not give proper distance from the vehicle in front of them and adding in an oily wet road surface and poor trailer brakes and you see the results..
