New bottom paint Commander

Hi guys
My wife and I just picked up an older 30' Commander. Solid boat with new power and electronics. Has a cracked exhaust manifold but I'm replacing that next week. Its showing its age a little and would like to wax and put a new coat of bottom paint on her before she goes in the water next spring. Does anyone have any tips on waxing and repainting? I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos but wondering if there's any tips or things I should be looking for before starting the project. Thanks in advance.

Tried to upload a pic but doesn't seem to want to work

I would do the top sides first to get the wax down to the water line.
Do the bottom paint last, that way the polisher won't pick up the soft bottom paint.
Use blue or green masking tape, and peel it off before it dries to much.
Watch for patchy spots in the old paint, it will indicate waxy gel coat or to many old layers.
I use the ACT type paint on the under side, and harder paint on the sides and stern. Fiberglass bottom kote. That way I can brush the sides and stern a bit.
2 coats is recommended. Try not to bonk your head, wear gloves. Face shield or old glasses for the
