I’m setting a newby friend up with their own setup.....looking for an entry level/moderate priced 10.5 rod. Nanaimo area preferred

Get them to buy a Kufa rod from PNT and put a used Shimano on it. Nice rods and fairly cheap combo that is totally good enough for a beginner.

I’d take one or similar in Victoria or anywhere on the island. Buddy busted his rod on the downrigger last Sunday and I realized I need a backup when I go fishing. Already have the reel.
