Merc 135 problems

Glad to read you got it repaired.
It reminded me of the trouble I had when the Pertronics ignition module got old and crapped out. It would be okay until it got hot, maybe 5-6 miles from the dock. This was in a M/C 165 engine.
It seemed like a coil or fuel pump problem to me, so after trying other parts I let two pro mechanics drive around init for 4 hours. They thought it was the coil.
I installed a new model Pertronics ignition module and away I went. Complete waste of time employing the mechanics, I should have bought and tried this part before I got frustrated and employed them.

Luckily for us it was this first thing we tried to repair. Between reading different merc forums online and talking to our mechanic at work we figured the sensor is where we should start. Do 40$ later and 2 mins replacing the sensor we are on the water again warning signals free! Hopefully everything goes smoothly now for at least a few trips out for winter springs :)
