Glad to read you got it repaired.
It reminded me of the trouble I had when the Pertronics ignition module got old and crapped out. It would be okay until it got hot, maybe 5-6 miles from the dock. This was in a M/C 165 engine.
It seemed like a coil or fuel pump problem to me, so after trying other parts I let two pro mechanics drive around init for 4 hours. They thought it was the coil.
I installed a new model Pertronics ignition module and away I went. Complete waste of time employing the mechanics, I should have bought and tried this part before I got frustrated and employed them.
