Leader length for spoons

Hey guys,

I haven't fished with spoons very much. I usually stick with anchovy. For those who do use spoons, how long do you tie your leaders for springs ? I'm not exactly sure what action there are supposed to have. Confidence is key, and I don't have it when I put a spoon in the water.

Thanks for the help.

try a leader length of about 42" to start
check the action beside the boat.
spoon's should have a "fishy" side to side wobble
mixed with odd dart to one side or the other.

I usually start at 42" unless recent fishing reports suggest longer. If I'm not getting strikes, I'll lengthened out to 5-6 feet as others have said.

Thanks boys. That's pretty much how I had mine set up. I was just unsure about the action. Thanks for the help.
