Hali fishing

I am a green horn at hali fishing.
I am spending the week of Aug 13-19 sailing from Sidney up to Maple Bay and around the islands.
Can anyone give me some insite on where and how to fish for hali in the area.

Not much halbut anymore in that stretch of water. Try around D'Arcy Island maybe.
