Gps fish finder combo

Thinking about upgrading to a gps / fishfinder combo. Any comments appreciated.

Only comment that I can add at this time, is to make sure the GPS will still work if the sounder craps out. On some units if the sounder quits, the GPS does also. Good luck on your selection.....................BB

Do a search on this board and read the comments of others on there units.
When you go shopping make sure to look at a working unit with a chart that is loaded for where you fish.
Check the depth numbers and check the detail of the contour lines.

Lowrance have the best gps /sounder combos. IMO.
if the one you get works ;) but i agree when they work they are awesome and great quality images.
Other guys to look at at furuno (navnet) which is very popluar and in my opinion the highest quality, garmin, northstar isnt a big name in BC but a very good product and big else where

I have a lowrance color gps sounder combo with a bc navionics I would sell.. Its an lcx 20, full set up, gps receiver and transducer and mount and cover for $400

I just picked up a Lowrance Elite 5 combo. Kind of a small screen but it was a great deal, comes with the Navionics chip.
I believe the sticker price is $600-650...
