I am wondering if it is a huge sea-run cutthroat trout. looking at the tail there is no fork. Spots are really small and it is golden in color. Interesting fish that is for sure.
Definitely a spring. I remember a strain of coho that were all bronze/gold color and really solid fish. They came exclusively from a hatchery inside MacLaughlin Bay (an island in central coast area). These fish were built like sockeye, kept their scales well and are all the same size.
