German guy new to fishing

Hello Community,
i am visiting Victoria for 2 Months and just bought myself some fishing gear after getting a taste of fishing in the Mediterranean in the summer. I would love to get some advice on fishing spots and tackle for the area. The tackle i have is a metal jig, a spoon, a spinner with dress, some bait balls and a popper. If you have anything else that i should buy let me know. If you have some non secret spots in the harbour or somewhere reachable by bus i would love to hear about them !
