fishing the alberni inlet

Im looking for some tips on navigation and where to fish in the aberni inlet... I have never been down the inlet before. I plan on launching at the boat ramp by down town port alberni. Not looking to take a boat ride down to barkley sound, something a 16'k&C could do.

Watch your tides, can be a little tricky at the launch at low tide.
Also as you are running down, the booms past the pulp mill can be confusing.
Just follow someone.
Or better yet drive out to China creek dump the boat in there and fish right out front.
You can also run down a couple of miles or so to Nahmint or 10 mile, read the regs for closures though.
Beware of the wind coming up from 10 am or so on some days.Can get really snotty.
