Planned a trip to Tofino at the end of the month with a couple of buds. The plan is to flyfish for coho on the inside...I've done it once before with Weigh West so I know the general area for that.
My fear is that the coho might be late and we'll have to resort to going into the open salt for coho and/or springs. Not that there's anything bad about that...we were jus hoping to flyfish. The boat we'll be using is equipped with downriggers so at least we'll be somewhat prepared if we need to go deep.
The question is ....where are the best places to fish in that area? Best set up, etc.? (ie. plug herring or artificials?) Anybody going to be up that way during July 31-Aug.2? Maybe we'll run into you. Or does any body from the sight live up there and has up to date info on how the fishing been?
