Fish And Seeing Colours.

Not wanting to highjack another thread I thought I would start one on fish and what they see as far as colours go and at what depth. I have been aware of this info for quite a number of years many others are as well I'm sure but for those that don't know here are a few links to look over and contemplate. The more info we as fisher persons know I think the better off we are.
If we look at some of the colour spectrums and the depths at what they presume fish may see colour we can see why Chartreuse is a strong lure colour, my favourite by far. As well as purple is a strong colour. So a couple links here and I hope some find it useful.

thanks for that. I read them and copied them for other friends.
Some confirmations were there and some newer ideas to try out!
Sometimes you get one piece of terminal tackle working and can't get anything else to work so you can't help but wonder, and ask questions about what to try.

I think lure color is area specific and also water-color specific.

Chartreuse lures have never worked much at all where I fish. Although I'll give a nod to the Chartreuse body flasher with prism tape both sides or HotSpot version at times.

Lures that look a certain way in 40ft of water are going to look different when they are down in 240ft of water.

Fish don't seem to play by the color rules, for me anyway. Fish don't do what they're supposed to do a lot of the time................:D
