Evinrude oil mixture 100/1 ?

My son just got a 30 HP Evinrude with 100/1 oil mixture, I remember reading some posts about this some time ago, I have searched but can't find them.I was wondering if he should just mix his fuel at 50/1. I think there was some issues but can't remember. Any suggestions?

On that issue I would mix at 50 to 1 , we went through this debate about a year and bit ago , tried finding the thread but it must have started under another subject box , but concensus on the mixing was about almost unanimous.

Thanks that is what I thought,I was wondering if it needed hotter plugs also.

Cant hurt esora , I have always run a hotter plug.

Rod Tipton told me that if you're just trolling 100:1 is fine, but if running wide open 50:1 to 75:1 is reccomended.
