Epoxy question

Bearded wonder

I have a mid 90s campion explorer 185 and I noticed my drain tube for the motor well wasn’t sealed correctly. I have removed the old drain tub. Can I just epoxy the inside edges of the hole to seal it instead of putting in a new plastic drain tube?
Hopefully this makes sense.

I would do both, drill out the hole slightly bigger than you need for the insert, seal with epoxy.Next day install the new transom tube with sikaflex or 5200.

The issue with the drain tube is that the hole is so close to the bottom of the motor well that the flange of the tube does not sit flat again the wall.
That’s why I thought of just doing a epoxy sealed hole.

You can get that west system type epoxy with the filler powder material. Mix it up to get your consistancy, and then paste it in there. Dont need a tube
