Departure Bay Pinks

If anyone is looking to go beach fishing for pinks then departure bay (Nanaimo) is the place to be. There's lots of fish right in close to the beach and no one fishing for them. Watch for schools of them finning and you will catch them.

No problem HS. I'm going to give it a try tonight after work. Should be lots of fun.

Fished for a few hours with the fly rod tonight. Had 1 nice fish on but lost it. There were a few pinks landed by fly fisherman and spoon casters. They were moving around quite a bit making it hard to stay on them. The fish I had on took a #10 pink fly.
