Is it even worth it to spincast for trout in the Cowichan? Has anyone heard of the picinic grounds pool? It looks like an amazing spot.Does anyone know what the fish are feeding on in this section of the river besides eggs?

Drifted last week but it was slow. Lost 1 fish and that was it <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
It's still good to drift but if it gets too much lower, it might be tricky. No, I have not gotten the new key yet, but soon I hope.

Hyde i heard it was a little slow, but it should pick-up hopefully ! Was thinking this weekend but i don't have a key yet and i don't want to go all the way from Stolz's to wolf's. Don't worry about fish i just drift over most of them and you come in for the clean up !! Tight lines.

Hyde we did not make it out, heard the same report about trees down and did not want to incounter one across the flow. Luna i have no idea what's happening, other than its low and probably dam clear for the cowie.

Yes, It's worth the trip but you might have to work hard for them. Not a whole lot but there are some fish around.
