cabezon northern straits of Georgia

I have got them all over-pretty much where all the guys say-add edge of willoby shoal and edge of Sentry shoal-they are all over and some get quite large-no great numbers but they do seem to be around. I've eaten a few-they are not as good as some write ups claim

Texture was not the best-ok I live on the water and am retired so I get out whenever it lays down -- I'm pretty picky
Lol Mike- basically any kind of fish any week of the year, fresh out of the chuck… spoiled!!

I am curious as well, not so much in spots but what what kind of habitat does one snoop around in? Edge of pinnacles? Bottom of walls? High current?

I have never caught them in hi current areas such as the hump in CR. usually quieter waters with a sandy bottom and generally less than a 100 feet. Just my observations from the ones I have caught--I don't deliberately fish for them so I am no expert. Good luck

We always release them as no one in our circle enjoys them, but to each their own.
