Off Sooke, fish with the pack, that being anywhere from the 500' mark to the middle of the Strait, different any given day. These fish travel in schools so that is what you are looking for.

Depths range from 45'-85' on average and once you get a fish, tighten your depth range to the productive zone.

Fish four rods with flashers or two rods with a couple of dummy flashers as these fish love the flash.

Pink hootchies, cut a little sparse (MP 15,16 etc) with about a 24'-27' leader. Troll as slow as you can go in straight lines and keep moving as you reel in a fish as these fish often hit in mass waves resulting in double and triple headers.

This should get you started, hope we get a few schools coming through in the next few weeks!
