Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

This was my buddys boat. He had it up for sale for a while with a broker in Victoria for 60K. He eventually sold for around 50k to thunderbird, now they have it up for 100K lol. I always wondered how they came up with such absurd prices for their boats, now I know.

I'm surprised Thunderbird pulled the wallet out like that, I thought they have always been in the brokerage business and if they did take a boat in on trade, it was as they likely had a buyer on the other side ready to go.

Pod it. (haha)

26' Osprey Fisherman Pilothouse $85,000 USD with an under warranty Zuki 350.

The trailer needs EOH, I'd put the trailer on consignment and buy a new one up here.
You’d think 99% of the fun of podding a boat would be cutting out that doghouse.

I almost want to buy it just so I can have the pleasure of doing.

Can store a lot of gear under there. stack a lot of prawn traps or crab. And the fisherman version has a bigger deck because of the short cabin. Might like having the seat as well.

2007 Hewescraft 18ft Searunner
$38,000 obo

Listing here for a few days before I post on Facebook if anyone on the forum is interested. Likely list on Facebook for $40,000.

I bought it from the 1st owner in 2012 with 56hrs!
Stored either in a heated shop or under a boat shed roof when not in use.

THE PROS
2006 Yami 115 with 468hrs, water pump serviced and impeller done in 2021 service, spare prop, spare key

2011 Yami 8hp high thrust power tilt with remote start/trim/throttle at helm, ez-hooked to main steering with approx 500hrs. Prop guard. New throttle shifting cables and freshly serviced seals on the trim pump and new trim lock. Spare key.

Both motors running off the main tank with a fuel separator in place. New fuel hoses with shut offs and new tank vent in the last few years.

Both engines, steering and systems completely serviced end of season in 2021 and then because of an injury only used for 20hrs in 2022.

Brand new Sterling Gloss silver wrap on hull.

2021 Garmin 742xsplus sonar with most recent update.

2021 VHF Icom IC-M330 with GPS and registered MMSI#.

Perko switch for the 2 batteries.

Full heavy duty custom fitted matching grey travel/storage cover with engine cowling covers that packs down into a container the size of a sleeping bag.

NOCCO waterproof Genius 2 bank built in charger.

Scotty 1105 Downriggers with braid on swivel mounts and 4 additional mounted Scotty holders.

Suspension tractor style seating on swivel bases for both chairs.

Freshly redone bench seat cover on port side.

The starboard bench seat has been removed for extra room and I put an Igloo cooler there when it’s needed.

34Gal fuel tank.

32Gal fish hold in the bow.

Anchor well in bow.

Driver side wiper with 2 speeds

Danforth anchor, plenty of chain and line. This anchor setup is more for emerg anchor or temp anchor in a protected location. I have a full halibut setup for real anchoring, but it’s not for sale.

Excellent condition 2007 EZ Loader single axel bunk trailer with loading guides and oil bath hubs…..freshly serviced, recent 2 new tires and mounted spare.

Tons of service records since 2012, I’m the type of person that keeps them all, and the manuals, and even some of boxes that stuff came in. It’s a problem. And all the installs have been done by professionals.

Very well maintained. Extremely reliable, easy to tow/launch/retrieve and inexpensive to operate. For a 18fter it is 94” at the beam, very stable and has deep sides with a tall transom. I’m 6’4 and it has deep sides even for me. I’ve taken it all around Bamfield, Nootka and Esperanza. 2 guys and gear it just sips gas and does 30mph at 70% throttle. Kicker can run for days and the tank gauge doesn’t even budge.

I’m leaving some details out. Lots more photos.

I would say the boat is in excellent condition. Zero issues. Everything works..lights, wiper, horn, bilge pump, trailer lights, winch, straps, seats and all electronics etc etc.

THE CONS….no top. I have the framing/tubing, but the fabric and plastic is toast. Has just disintegrated.
So if someone wants or must have a top, that’s a cost to plan for. The one from the factory was way to long, so get a custom tall version, that only covers the front seats plus a bit of the bench. IMO. The longer factory one made it hard for playing fish at the stern.

Some of the rivets and snaps for the top are corroded, and in places have started some small spots of dissimilar metal corrosion. Happens on almost every aluminum boat I’ve seen.

Batteries are 5+ years old. So if you believe batteries 5+ years old are absolute garbage then you can go ahead and replace the batteries. If you believe a battery kept on battery keeper for 99% of its life is good till the modern day scientific meter tells you it’s starting to fail or fluctuating even a tiny bit, then monitor them regularly and be prepared that they are close to the end of their life.

I should add that the boat is very fishy, if you believe in things like that.

Only selling as I’m moving up a few sizes and don’t have room for 2 boats in the shop.

This might be cheaper than new up here, even with exchange and taxes. I didn't see this model at the recent boat show though.

just for fun look at the pic then take your thumb and cutoff the top of this boat and then ask yourself if it’s worth 78k US
