Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Yeah, hard pass.

The company that built these folded I believe. They now market as katanacraft I believe. I've heard of a few sinking at dock (cracks and bilge batteries running out) I've personally seen one with a caved in hull and cracks in the doorways both front and rear from the hull flexing. Not adequately braced!

How 'bout a sunken Katana Craft for $45,000?

I wouldn’t touch any aluminum these days without blown in foam for neutral buoyancy. Should be standard in all boats imo. Like airbags in cars.

Exception being multi chamber alloy hulls that are air tight. Pressure test them once a season and move on. . That said I'm a fan of cut and place foam. That was done in my hull. No waterlogging. Can be removed if required. /end of thread jack.

Lol, there were boats that were probably worth 30k and covered in green algae that never left the marina in 2 years paying upwards of 1-2k a month on moorage when I was at Milltown in Vancouver. A real head scratcher.
I always thought that was crazy, the boats that are just pretty much forgotten about at marinas.

20 foot aluinum hardtop - Rauch boat - 200 yammy.. 42 k.. Seems like a decent boat for the price... I cant speak to the build quality - never seen one in person.

If it is the same guy, Otto Rauch builds a beautiful boat with weld quality like a hand made sports car. He uses Bruce Cope's designs lately, here is one for sale that needs to be finished. Look at the welds.

I posted this when it was 78,000 US$ now it is an absolute steal although the double dive doors got some comments on here.

For comparison purposes, Bridgeview was asking $239,000 for a new but slightly used 26' walkaround centre cabin https://bridgeviewmarine.com/product/boats/used-boats/bridgeview-26-center-cabin/ like this Rauch/Cope style with twin 200 Merc's. Get Walker to finish it and it should be a great package.
