I need to reinsure my boat and would like to know if there is a good place to contact.

Coast Capital Savings Insurance - Marine Dept. (250)483-8600
I dealt with Adam at the Tillicum Mall branch if you are on the South Island.

I have a $500/deductible on hull & machinery and $250 on electronics and personal effects. The payout amount is 'non-declining' over time and there are no restrictions on where I can use the boat.

Here's a summary of coverage on my old 19/ft Zeta with a recent re-power:

Hull & Machinery - $22/k
Electronics and Nav/equip - incl/w hull & machinery
Aux/motor - 2/k
Personal effects - 2/k
Trailer - 4/k
Protection & indemnity - 2/million
Water-ski Sub-Limit - 2/million

Annual Premium - $660.00

Hope this helps.

I have a 26 ft Campion

I'm insured with Coastal Community Insurance

Insured Vessel 48 G deductible $500
Personal Effects 2 G deductible $250
Protection and Indemnity One Million
Medical Payments 5G
Trailer 3G
Uninsured Boater One Million

Total cost taxes incl. $585

It doesn't really seem to matter size of boat, etc., based on previous discussions on this topic and current postings, and my own costs (about 550 tacked on the house insurance), you're looking at 600 +/- 100.
The going rate I guess.
