whats agood place to buy boat insurance for the salt chuck thank you.

I use Coast Underwriters through CoastCapital.They have been good for me and I have had to use my claim.

I use HUB in Victoria. They can probably give you a quote over the phone fairly quickly. Luckily, I haven't had to make any claims but the service was very good.

I phoned around and had all my quotes run through a friend of mine and Beacon Insurance was the best for me. They deal through brokers, so you can go online, fill out what info is needed, print it off and contact them to see who is their closest broker. They had better rates and, for me, lower deductable. Also their coverage was for offshore on the WCVI, make sure you get that if you fish the west coast.

Good luck and make sure you shop around, as I found differences as much as $100.
