advice on buying an 18.5 Double Eagle

I looking to buy an older 18.5 Double Eagle with outboard power. Is there anything about this model that I have to watch out for in a used boat?

Rotten stringers and soft transom... Steely Dan has some post from rebuild he did. Its took me looking at about 10 DE to find my 16ft that didn't have a rotten floor. A lot of owners lied that the transoms and floors were good. Keep in mind a lot are 70's and 80's vintage...And a lot of owners ride on the fact its DE and inflate price.. Just my 2cents from owning one.

Also they are heavy boats pay attention to the trailer it has...
