70's Double Eagle question ?

Hi I'm working on a 70's DE project boat
My question is these factory trim tabs or did someone add these on ?
I'm thinking about removing them
As I will already have trim tabs put back on

Way back when they did do things like this. Not 100 percent sure about the aggression on this particular one however I have a old thermoglass that has a similar flare. It actually works really well

i would get in contact with double eagle and ask them if they did this, my thoughts are if they had done this and it worked they would still be doing it

I don’t think DE would be much help from past experience with them
Tried to get specs from them when I got the boat
After a long wait before receiving a reply
Current owners of DE said they no longer keep files on older boats
