Possibly selling my 17’ hourston. Boat was freshwater use until I bought it in 2017. Complete refit done in 2018. PM for more information. Will be selling with either a 2017 Suzuki 140 (500 hrs) or a 2004 Johnson 140 4 stroke (made by Suzuki) with 150 hrs. 677F2064-D322-458D-8098-D1EFB5186643.jpeg

It’s a sick rig. I’ve fished in it and it’s wicked! No expenses spared. Stainless top not aluminum, radar arch etc etc etc. It also f’n flies!
Good value on this one

hahaha yup. The blue one is a very nice boat. Needed the extra room for growing family. Still not sure if I will sell the 17’ with the 140 Suzuki or swap motors. I’ll have to see what the cost will be and what the value difference would be on the 17’ with a 2004 motor vs 2017

Nice boat upgrade! Maybe just keep it as is and save your pesos for a 23, keep on growing the family!

3 kids is enough for me! Hahaha. I’ve got a big boat for the weekend trips. Hourston is just for day trips. And planning on keeping the new one for some time. Although that’s what I said when I put the 17’ together in 2018…..

Wicked boat man, good luck with the sale I have literally exactly the same boat looks to be the same year and trailer as mine LOL, would you mind posting some more pictures of it? Super interested to see the layout, radar arch, interior ect..could pick your brain apart for hours haha looking for ideas for my 17’er planning on doing a major refit this winter.

I’ll have to go take some proper pictures but here’s a few on my phone. It’s a great boat and was planning on keeping it for years. There’s 6’ 4” headroom under the canvass which is awesome on rainy days. I think one of the best additions I did was ad trim tabs for choppy days. With the 140 on it you can stuff the bow down and cit through the chop at 35 mph

Oh man that is absolutely beautiful I love it, I’m hoping mine comes out as well as your boat whoever ends up owning it will have many trouble free years arguably the best boat on the coast in that size range, I’m planning to keep mine for many years so willing to put the work into it. Currently have a 115 Yamaha and an 8hp merc pushes it along nicely. What size fuel tank are you running? I have a 15gallon aluminum tank in the bow thinking of going bigger to offset some weight in the stern. My boats an 1989 looks identical to yours inside it was white, I just finished redoing the interior added new seats and changed up some trim pieces yet to get pictures of that. Still can’t get over how amazing your boat looks!!! Hopefully See you out there on the new boat one of these days buddy looks like your located on the South Island too!?

Yup I’m in Sidney. I put a 20 gallon tank in the front. The boat builder that built the tank for me didn’t think I should go any bigger with the fuel tank because it would be too bow heavy when full. I’m glad I listened to him as it sits perfectly level when full and I wouldn’t want any more weight in the bow. It gets 200 miles on 20 gallons so not really a need for more fuel on board
